Cards for Twins
I have been very slack with blogging lately. What with Kathryn and Aimee being ill and half term holidays and I havent been feeling so great myself. I haven't done too much crafting.
Friends of Kathryn's are 12 years old tomorrow (twin brother and sister)
As usual I struggle with cards for boys, especially at such a difficult age.
Anyway cards have been done quickutz footballs used (a great standby for boys cards must get some more cut soon).
Girls card I have used some fab papers and image from Pink Petticoat, they have some really fab downloads these are taken from the Sweet Sundaes collection (I just love the flourish papers). I have made some more cards using these papers I will try and get them uploaded in the next few days, I just had a look this morning and they have another new collection of papers called sweet flourishes (52 colours with either a white or cream background)so off to buy them soon.
I will post link direct to them.
I've used so many printables lately I need to get some more colour cartridges for the printer.

An Elvis Card
As you might realised by now I make cards for all of Kathryn & Aimee's classmates.
Sometimes I receive a special request, this time Kathryn asked me to do a special card for her friend Olivia who likes Elvis (It's nice to see the younger generation exploring the "old" stuff).
So here it is, an Elvis birthday card. I had to include a bit of bling, a shiny piece of holographic paper. I chose an earlier image of Elvis in his prime, a very handsome young man indeed, I prefer to remember him like that rather than than the Las Vegas/white jumpsuit era.
I have also done an insert to suit the card, I hope she likes it.
Happy Birthday Olivia!

Family Cards-Someone old, someone new
I haven't had a lot of time for crafting or blogging, a combination of bad weather (I hate the snow) and illness meant that both of the girls had a long weekend . Anyway I have managed a couple of family cards. I have received 2 new toys in the past week, an xcut corner rounder (A fab crafting tool I would recommend to anyone, so easy to use even with my carpal tunnel, even Aimee can use it) and my Spellbinder nesties, now I know the right sandwich for my bigshot :)
First card is for my Great Uncle Tom (My maternal Grandad's youngest brother), his birthday is at the weekend.
The second one is for the latest arrival in the family who was born yesterday, Chloe is my Cousin Clive's 3rd Grandchild.
As you can see I use my nesties dies for both of these cards, I can see a lot more cards of mine using the nestie shapes.
WIth the baby card I also deocrated the inside, I know this is becoming a lot more popular and I thought putting the weight etc inside would be a nice finishing touch, hopefully Victoria & Lee will keep the card (I can remember the weight of the girls but I cant remember exactly when they were born is it just me?).
I would like to think I could decorate the inside of more cards in the future but it really is down to time.
Anyway I hope they like the cards.
