A card for Dad

It's my Dad's birthday next week, I was going to do the usual nautical theme (My Dad sails) but couldnt find anything that grabbed me.
This week I received my paper boutique CD from Polkadoodles and decided to use the Male owl (Mr Twitty). This card also covers this weeks challenge on Polkadoodles challenge blog, thers is a sketch to follow and you had to use blue & brown (a fab colour combination).
I have left the card simple, I would have loved to use some ribbons, flowers or bling but not for my Dad lol
I hope he likes it.
The CD is fab, I only received it yesterday but this is my second card I have made already, just need to put finishing touches to the first one.

A challenge of a 13th Birthday card

It is my oldest daughter Kathryn's birthday on Monday and she will be 13.
This card I have done for her younger sister to give her, Aimee loves the animals on Polkadoodles Back To Nature CD so it had to be an owl.
This weeks challenge on the Polkadoodles challenge blog happens to be a milestone birthday or anniversary so it fits in with that too!
I have wrapped a patterened acetate arouund the card and stuck the owl on the front, her back is on the inside of the acetate too.
All I have to do now is make a card from myself and Robert, and get her Birthday presents.
TO take part in the challenge go here

My First Peter Rabbit Card

I just love my New Peter Rabbit CD from Crafters Companion, money being tight I could only buy the one so it had to be Peter.
Here is the first card I made, just a little A6 card, I just love the Peter Rabbit blue, this CD will be great when I need a card for a baby or toddler (I have already made one for a friend but who forgot to scan it!).
So here he is.

Back After a Long Time

It is quiet a while since I blogged, November last year in fact, so Happy New Year lol.
Had a lot of dama towards the end of last year and the start of this, the girls has a major leak in there bedroom which runied the carpet they ended up staying with my parents for the last 2 weeks of school, then stays in hospital for Robert with his chest again, the last time he went in I visited and managed to catch the nasty norovirus.
Anyway, back to more normal things, I have been doing some cardmaking when I can, I have been naughty and not scanned all of them but here are some of them, I have some more to make tomorrow milestone birthdays for my oldest daughter who will be 13 on Monday and my Uncle who is 70 soon.
The first batch of cards I made for a friend of a friend who saw a card I made and asked me to make her some.
I hope she likes them
Now I just have to remember how to blog lol

Card Candy from CraftyC

My Old crafting buddy CraftyC aka Claire, is offering some super card candy on her blog, just leave a comment and then a link on your blog for a chance to win, open to all not just UK crafters. While you are there have a look through her blog, her work is just stunning, she has certainly given me inspiration over the years and I have fallen in love with many of the crafting stuff she has used (especially the stamps) and she was the person who got me onto using Promarkers which are just my fav thing at the moment.
You can find her candy here

Patti Goes to the Orient

I haven't done much crafting this past week, my DH had an operation on his wrist on Monday and can;t do very much for 2 weeks so not much crafting done and when I have tried I seem to be too tired that my mojo is sleeping, but here is a card I managed to do before my mojo took a nap (Or holiday).
I am a big fan of anything Oriental, I think I picked it up from my Mum. We have family in Japan so little things have worked there way into Mum's home.
Anyway this image on Kirsty Wiseman's Patti Picklicious Printables CD is just fab, I printed off one of the papers in a smaller scale and then paper pieced the oriental image, skin was coloured in using promarkers, sentiment is also from the CD.
My oldest daugther met a Japanese Author last week and mentioned to her about our Japanese connections it turns out her daugther was taught English by my cousin....small world eh?
