Don't Worry Bee Happy

Another challenge I have decided to take part in, The Sunday Stampers challenge set again by Hels, her theme this week is bees.
A little difficult for me as I dont have a bee stamp, I did have a go at doing a sketch of a bee but it was too big and didnt look right on the house so I did a little doodle bee.
Here it is anyway...off to try and clean the ink off my fingers (butterscotch and terracotta).

A different type of house

And a template I have designed myself, it may need a little tweaking but I decided to try a lighthouse.
Aimee (age 7) likes it anyway lol.

Secret Garden House

After going swimming this morning I came home to some post, some rubber stamps from Mum. I wanted to get these while on holiday but they didn;t have them in the shop so Mum picked them up yesterday and posted them to me. They are the Papermania Secret Garden stamps. I had one more house to do for a swap so I decided to use my new stamps, here is the result.
Both of my girls wanted it so I will have to go and make one for each of them now.

And some more houses

Here are some more of my houses.
I hope the recipients like them, I have really enjoyed making them they are so much fun, I may make some for christmas and make a banner out of them (if I have the time of course).
A big thank you once again to Dan for the template, you must check out his blog , he posts new templates weekly and you can buy some of his older templates (including the house) for a very reasonable price.

More Little Houses

I couldn't sleep last night so at about 4 this morning I was making some more of these lovely little houses.
I have done all the ones I need for a swap but I still want to do some more (my 7 year old daughter has asked me to make her one in pink).
I mainly used adirondack inks and rubber stamps but I did one using some backing papers finished with a sakura glitter pen and one using the wonderful mica powder paints from The Artistic Stamper.
It's no nice to have inky fingers after so long.

My First Little House

After a month away on the Isle of Wight we finally arrived back home on Wednesday afternoon. I haven't done much crafting, just some Christmas cards using a kit I ordered from QVC and had posted to my parents house and a morning at a craft workshop in Newport with Wightcat Crafts (it's turning into a once a year thing). I was busy on the sewing machine though, made myself 5 skirts.
Anyway my first thing since getting back is my very first go at a house.
The template is from the very talented Dan (see button at the top of my blog for a link). He has been releasing different templates weekly, you can still get the house template for a small fee. I reduced the template to 75% of the original size.
Used Adirondack ink pads (butterscotch terracotta and espresso) and finished with a black gel pen. Stamps used are some tiny ones by Clear Stamps I have just stamped randomly all over the house.
I had lots of fun getting ink on my fingers after such a long time, I can't wait to do the next one.
The girls are back at school next week so I am hoping to get more time to sort throught my crafting stash abnd play some more.
